We have 2 female cats that are both fixed and are about 1 1/2 years old. They never had a problem with using the litter box but then we got another cat that was not fixed and was only 6 months old. This other cat peed outside the litter box multiple times. We eventually gave the cat back to the person who we got it from. But now our cats are peeing in the same spot that ther other kitty had. They do not pee anywhere else and we keep there litter box clean. Now we have moved the litter box upstairs and they use it , but we are not sure which cat is peeing. Are there any suggestions on what we can do? Thanks.

www.zero-odor.com is a good product to use. If the cat peed on the floor the urine has soaked through the carpet/wood and is still there. The other cats are trying to overcome the scent with their own, typical reaction. Your cats need more than one litter pan, which is probably why your newcomer was peeing out of the box. Even if you clean a litter pan everyday by scooping it, the pan still retains odor and cats are fastidious creatures about their bathroom habits.
