I'm curious what everyone else is going to have. I'm sure it will just make me hungry to read this thread!

We're having Oyster Stew (my family's traditional Christmas fare) as the appetizer.

And then we're going totally un-traditional. We picked up 3 pounds of snow crab and 2 lovely filet steaks.
We'll have corn and asparagus with that, and I'm sure Christmas cookies for dessert.

Our family tradition is homemade pizza! Wanna come? What do you take on yours? Got pepperoni, sausage, ground beef, ham, onions, peppers, mushrooms and even pineapple if you like it...and tons of different cheeses, of course.
We`re also having homemade cheese balls and crackers, chips and dip, a veggie and dip tray for if anyone is being "good" ,and waaaaay tooo many "goodies".

We never really have a big Christmas dinner, but on Christmas Eve we usually have hamburgers and home made french fries, haha
We are in such a rush on Christmas Eve, to get to Church and to my Grandparents that its just usually a simple meal like that, but hey, I love it!!

Rib-eye steaks, baked potato with all the works, green salad, homemade bleu cheese dressing and my famous fruit salad.
No turkey, ham, or roast this year.

nut roast is a veggie alternative to roast dinner.

its a bit like what i imagine a meat loaf is but with nuts instead of meat.

My tradition is homemade veggie soup and finger food. That way the soup is on the stove on warm all day and the finger food is set out for anyone who stops by so I can visit with them instead of preparing a meal. I'll be making:

So-Many-Veggies-You-Won't-Miss-The-Meat-Soup
Artichoke dip w/crackers
Spinach topped mini bagels
cheese & crackers
vegetarian antipasta
spinach dip in pumpernickel bread
marinated mozzarella with sliced tomato & fresh basil
Stuffed bread roll (probably with broccoli & cheese)
and of course
a tray of the lovely Christmas cookies that my Mom and Grandmother sent.

Mind sharing the recipe? We are doing ALL appetizers, we have to bring 3 each. It's probably better for our family than sit down, because we all talk too much so dinner is usually around 7 or 8 and then we all want to go home.
