Hi all, I know you have had some emails about pee problems but I had a question/clarifications. Would you still consider it a possible UTU is the cat is peeing on soft things, which are on the floor?

I have found her peeing on just the remenents, on my purse, on a shirt, on a scarf or in my shoes. She has been frequently urinating, not spraying, on things since about 2 weeks ago when there was a dog in the house for 24 hours. She has however been around dogs for about 24 hours before and has never peed anywhere besides her box.

I also put a top on her box about 2 months ago b/c she was kicking up so much litter, but the urinating problem has just started now?

Would this make a difference?

Two of mine just like peeing on soft things, but we did rule out UTI and crystals first.

So do mine. No cat beds around here for them anymore. I ruled out UTI and crystals as well. Just gotta keep things picked up off the floor.

She had a UTI, you all were correct. Thanks for all your help. She is much better now.
