Here are a couple pictures of my two cats, and they sometimes have some pretty wierd behaviour! Have any of you seen cats sit/lay like this?

My friend had a cat who sat like Java, except he always sat against the wall.

I'd say your cats are unique! If I got home and found one of my cats in Enki's pose I'd probably be scared to death that he was dead!

Otis sits like Java from time to time. When he broke his leg that was the easiest position for him to sit in. He used to sit on our laps like a little kid

my kitty sits like Java...and if she's leaned up against something she'll sleep in that position too

An old cat of mine slept like your first pic too.

Awwww cute. Duke my cat would rather not sit up... if he can lay there and pull his food and water dish to him he wouldn't get up at all except to use the litter. and being a male I think he'd much rather hold it than have to get up. When he does get up and sit properly he looks like the letter "A" pointy at the top wide at the bottom

That first one is hilarious!!! The second one my boy Clover would do...I swear cats sometimes think they are human... Here are my baffling sleeping positions:

She's completely asleep in the middle of cleaning herself. She stayed like that for about a half and hour before we disturbed her. She since did it one other time.

She thinks she is human...

Her most common sleeping pose... She's like a toddler with a bobbing head that dosen't want to go to sleep. Its hilarious to watch.

That first picture is amazing
I have never seen a cat sleep like that.

SolarityBengals-I wonder if that position is a Bengal thing

She can't move her tail so we had her x-rayed and found out about the leg having an old break).

Now seeing this picture, I'm thinking it just is a quirky trait.

I never was able to get a good pic of Shado in her "roly-poly" sleeping pose. It's kinda hard to describe, she'd curl vertically with her head and nose tightly tucked and would remind me of nothing more nor less than a roly-poly although of course you usually see those horizontally.

Tiger sleeps with his head flat on the floor like Garfield. Sorry for such a small pic, it was taken with a camera phone and it was far away...it is really hard to get a picture because if we make noise, he wakes up and sits his head up.

My two sleep in pretty common positions, though there was just this once Catsy fell asleep in that same position... that was during the birth of her 4 kittens. There was a long break between numbers 3 and 4 and she just fell asleep like that with her leg in the air and her nose smack in her tail!!!

Poor girl, she musta been plain tuckered out from having the first 3 kittens, decided to take a nap before number 4
