picky about cat teasers

hi there....
my baby, raja, is having a little quirk, and i was curious if anyone has had a similar experience:

i buy them the cat teasers, you know, with the feathers or bells at the end of the blastic stick. all of my babies love them, but recentyly i've noticed that raja particularly likes the red ones. if i have it in a closet (as a spare) she will find it. she carries them around in her mouth and growls if i or any of the other cats get near it. but, only with the red ones. not with yellow, blue, or pink. so odd. has anyone seen anything like this? i've read that cats and dogs are colorblind, is this true? if so, how come she shows a preference to the red one??

mine prefers blue and green. I dont think they are colorblind.

o my gosh... that's so funny. i can't believe they have favorite colors like raja.... it makes me laugh that they are picky about the color of their toys.... ;-)

I once read an article in Cat Fancy magazine that said that cats are red-green color blind. Red actually looks brownish to them, while green looks almost whiteish, according to this article.
