really stupid litter box question

how many times a day is it expected that a 4-5 month old kitten urinate or defecate per day? I see her eating and drinking and want to know how that corresponds to litterbox use.

Can you tell I am REALLY new to all this and a rather nervous mother?

I will likely get corrected here but I would think 3 pees and 3 poops would be reasonable for a little one

That's about what mine did at that age, when they were still eating four meals a day.

yikes? that many? she is free fed and has a water fountain but sometimes it's twice a day. now i have ANOTHER thing to worry about, I am a nuerotic over protective mother.

Dont worry unless this is not the normal for the kitty... My ZOey pees four times a day and poops twice Kandie pees due to crf 5-6 ( she was a two ) and poops once

As long as she's going at least once a day there is nothing to worry about. How often a cat or kitten goes depends, just like people, every cat is differnt, but they need to go once a day.
