Glad to have found this forum.
My husband and I are owned by 3 cats -- Smithers (approx. 10-11 yrs.), Rusty (6 years) and newly adopted Stella (approx. 1-2 yrs.) -- and 2 dogs -- Gatsby, a 6 yr. old Greyhound and Gordy a 5 yr. old Golden Retriever mix.
Smithers and Rusty were adopted from the local animal shelter when I used to volunteer there years ago; we just adopted Stella from a local cat rescue group. Gatsby was adopted from Col. Greyhound Adoption and Gordy from a local Golden Retriever rescue group.
Both dogs are cat-friendly, but so far I haven't been able to convince Stella of that fact. She's spending most of her days hiding under the bed but she is coming out to eat and use the litter box. Any suggestions to help her overcome her fear will be greatly appreciated.
