Hey everybody,
I'm looking for name ideas for two of the cats our coordinator brought back with her from New Orleans. Both girls are FeLV+. They were both rescued by Best Friends and are are still technically fosters, but no one has stepped forward to claim them, so Millie is planning to keep them. One is orange and white (she was pulled out of an attic), very sweet and friendly. The other is barely more than a kitten, solid black and still pretty scared. She sustained some kind of burns on her face which are now healing. Any suggestions? I feel like these two precious girls really need special names given all they've been through.
Thanks!

You could name the orange and white one "Flowers"....as in..."Flowers in the Attic!"
I like Onyx for black cats.

Under the cats, mostly.
I'd agree with those - so simple little reminders of what they've been trhough! It sounds really pretty too!

How about "Kat" and "Rina"

or..... something that means "Survivor" or "strength" because that's precisely what they are... survivors. Very strong little kitties to have survived so much.

I heard somewhere that "Jai" means "victory" in Sanskrit... and perhaps "Dama" which is a take-off on the spanish name "Damita" which means "little noble lady."

Thank you, Karen! (and everyone else for their ideas). Under the circumstances, I can't think of any names that would be more appropriate for these sweet girls.
