I just finished watching "The Little Shop Around the Corner" with Jimmy Stewart and Margaret Sullivan which was remade as the "The Good Old Summertime" with Judy Garland and "You Got Mail" with Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan. The remakes just don't seem to match up to the first one in my mind.

And then there are movies I wondered why they bothered to remake them because the originals didn't have much to them - "Cheaper by the Dozen" and "Yours, Mine Ours" comes to mind.

What do you think of remakes? Are there some better than the originals? Or do they just not match up?

I think it definitly depends on the movie......

I like that they redoing all the scary movies.....Back in the day the idea was very scary, Like "Delieverence" and "Texas chainsaw massacre"....How ever the acting and effect were not up to par.....I think the new version of TCSM is wicked scary....and I really hope someone does "Delieverence" over.......

Some I dont like as much...Like the "Italian Job"...the original was much better in my opinion......And the old "Haunting" was sooo freekin good....However the new "Haunting" is a bit of a joke.......

Then their is "Oceans 11" which I liked the rat pack version and the George cloony/brad pitt version equally......

So I guess it just totally depends on the movie.....lol
