Angel/Tenshi is here!

She's a delicate little beauty. She's a sweet little girl as well. I can't wait until I can get some pictures of her.

But I wanted to let everyone know she arrived safe and sound.

I have to tell you, this little girl has the loudest purr I've ever heard. She is such a sweetheart. She really is already totally loving to me.

Oh gosh i am sooooo excited and happy for you...I am so glad that you two are getting along sooo well.....

I am so happy to hear she arived safe and went to such a GREAT home.

Hopefully Simba will get along with her. I can't imagine him not getting along with her though. Zeke gets along with even the cats who hiss at growl at him. He thinks they are playing.

I can't imagine two Bengals in the house. UGH. Bolt down all the furniture and tell of stories of the havoc they cause. That is if you can stop laughing at them long enough to type!

Believe it or not, Simba is NOT happy. He's pretty upset. It's almost like he's the new kitty. He's up in the cubbards and doesn't want to come down. When he does, he is hissy and growling at me, at and Shane and SunLee. Angel is in her room for now, but Simba is fully aware of her scent. The other two cats aren't upset at all, and Angel doesn't seem upset either. Only Simba. He is not my happy go lucky little boy right now. In fact he made himself SO upset, he threw up.

Aw, poor Simba! I'm sure he will come around, though. He just doesn't know what a great sister just came into his life!

Congratulations, Hope! Angel is a lucky kitty to have come home with you.

Awww poor Simba. He will come around though, once he realizes Angel is a fun playmate and not the enemy. My cats adjusted well to each other right from the start. I guess I was lucky. Now my mom's cat Streaker (Somali) does not get along with any of my cats. Well, except Zeke, cause Zeke thinks he is playing when he hisses at him.

Is Angel at least warming up to you? Did you get Feliway?

Time for work I would rather play on the computer all day. I have to work until 11pm when our store closes. I can't wait for the Holidays to be over so we can go back to normal buisness hours.

Yep, I kind of figured Simba might be a little ticked off about your newbie. That's pretty typical behavior for spoiled bengals. In my experience it has taken about 3 days or so before the resident bengal will decide that the new bengal is ok and isn't taking all the attention and food away.
Just have to be extra patient with him during "his ordeal". Make sure you shower him with love, even if he's grumpy about it, so he doesn't act out inappropriately. It will help him realize he's still number one, if you can play with him one on one, with no other cats around.
As the new comer, Angel should continue with her behavior of wanting to fit in. She's very used to a multiple cat social situation and will want to make friends.

Congrats on your new arrival!! Poor Simba, it isn't going to be as bad as you think - you'll have a new playmate soon! I can't wait to see pics of Angel, and I'm sure you'll be showing us pictures of her snuggling or playing with Simba very soon!

The funny thing is, I thought my biggest problem in adapting would have been SunLee, because she's the resident little "Princess". I was sure she'd be upset with another female coming in, and maybe trying to take her "Title" away from her. Believe it or not, she has been the easiest going about the arrival of Angel. Shane is his usual crotchity self, but he's not having any problems with her. In fact right now, Shane has crawled into Angel's carrier and is laying on the towels that are in there, and getting her scent all over him.

Simba on the other hand, is acting like a Major Drama King about it all. I have NEVER seen Simba upset before. He's adorable when he hisses, but I hate to see my "Happy-go-Lucky" boy so upset. He's pouting right now. I am doing my best to re-assure him that he's still my special boy, and that I love him just the same. I know he'll adjust, it's just such a surprise to me to see him so upset. He wasn't half this upset when SunLee came to live with us.

Angel is wonderful. It's obvious that Nial and Teri gave her lots of love, because she's so well adjusted and loving. She's a real credit to the home she came from.
