I have 3 cats, and I am curious what other people use for food... i don't like any food with animal by-products- i'm a vegetarian, and i like the cats to get healthier meat.
I've tried wellness and Innova, but they don't seem to dig the canned food. the avoderm choice cuts seems to give one of them a little bit of diarhea... and i've tried nutro max, which also isn't much of a hit. what are some suggestions that other people like?
also, hints on how to switch food would be great!!

Animal by-product are not bad food for cats. Opposite!. But of course it must be by products of good quality, such as also humans could eat.

I have heard by forumist here by-products in US are sometimes the worst fill up - entirely unimaginable for a normal mind...

did you try natural choice by nutro... my girl wasnt thrilled with max but loves the natural choice

California natural is another basic and good formula.. I am guessing kitty would prefer a simplier formula

yes... it looks like you may have cat that want one meat and grain or two meats one grain...

wellness , innova and max have a main thing in common... the all have multiple meat and multiple grains..

the two I recommended
natural choice has chn with rice ... and either herring , tuna or lamb depending on flavor

california natural has chn and br rice and white rice..

My 2 girls are eating California Natural but I'm going to try Felidae next month (they've been eating CA Natural since June, so it's time for a change).

My kitties enjoy Wellness, Merrick, Solid Gold, & Eagle Pack. This list took years to compile as 2 of my 4 are VERY finicky.

Try Feline Spa Cuisine, I think you will be pleased at your cat's reaction.

I bought Newman's, Natural Balance, and Merricks to see which Ginger would go for. NB and Merricks were chosen by her and she gobbles them up. The Newmans appeared to have globs of fat in it
and she ate around it.

The only dry food we've fed her is RC's Special 33 and she's 'hooked' on it
.

I use FLint River Dry, and Wellness Canned, but no fish. It can cause kidney problems, and diahhrea too. Neither have Bi products. Change food gradually. Go with 1/4 of the new for 3 days, then 1/2 for 3 days, then 3/4 new for 3 days, then you should be ok, but back off if you start seeing loose stool or upset tummies. SOmetimes it takes me a couple of weeks, but my cat seems to be ok with wellness, only 1/4 of a 5.5 oz can in the am and then again in the pm, and only 1/4 cup of dry food for a 24 hour period.
