I found this out fairly recently. Many of you probably already know, but just in case...
Did you know that if you google your user name it will lead you to TCS forum? If you use the same user name on other forums it will show that too?
Just want y'all to be careful who you share info with.

I told a friend my username. Its no problem that he "snoops" on me.
I told him so he could read my posts. I thought he would go directly to TCS and had no idea he could find me by "googling."

Here's something funny. He addressed our Christmas card to Renee & BF.

Apparently other people use the name too because there are hits for a lot of other forums!

You can also look up phone numbers and addresses and all sorts of fun stuff. Google is fun.

I googled my user name ... which really isnt creative or anything ..

I didnt see TCS on there but I guess aparently "I" run an escort service, some kinda dance site, do movie reviews and am an author. Who knew?!

Oh no!!, I found a bunch of links to TCS on there...but the worst part is that there is a woman out there that goes by the name of Miss Mew too and she likes to take half naked pictures of herself and post them on the internet!!!, Why did we have to share the same name!

Google can be kind of freaky since it searches that well..

Ha! There I am...TCS, a couple of Zoo Tycoon forums, some wedding websites, a review I did on amazon.com....nothing too surprising.

Not to rain on anybody's parade, but using Google opens you up to a lot of spyware and stuff. I stopped using it because it was loading up my computer with ads and junk I didn't need. I don't know how to stop it, maybe someone here does. For now I use dogpile instead -- a librarian friend recommended it.

I use dogpile, too. I love how you tell it to "fetch", and it comes back with "best in breed".
