Shpping online is definitly an option....you will pay more due to shipping charges owever you dont have to enter a mall...Heck you dont even have to leave your house.....

I love to give gifts. I hate to shop. For many years I made homemade gifts to give to my friends and family. I don't have a lot of time to do that anymore so always feel that sense of guilt at Xmas that I'm not doing things right.

I finally started buying presents for folks today and have to ship most of my presents to family all over the country. I avoided the malls and bought locally produced food items - what better from Kansas City than barbeque sauces and seasonings? I'll take a grocery store over a mall any day! LOL

I like shopping for others because then I feel less guilty about spending so much. It's somehow justified if it's for someone else. However, I have been known to buy something for my sister then end up keeping it for myself!

I
shopping for any reason. Christmas shopping is easy for me because I buy everything on-line, all throughout the year when I happen to see something when I'm getting something else. Then I go to the bookmarks at Christmas and order them. Even if they're not available anymore, there's always enough links for everyone to get something I picked out for them because I pick out a lot; the hardest part is not actually purchasing all of them.

The shopping I did for my SS recipient is the most shopping I've done for others this Christmas because I didn't have hers picked out already.

I love buying gifts, I have strategies all planned out like how I'm gonna present them and everything. It's having the money that I have a hard time with!

Sounds like my local mall having a $2.00 fee per item since they switched from paper certificate to plastic card.

Yes!!!! I
Christmas shopping. I try to turn all the stress of 'black friday' and last-minute sales and shopping into excitement and it works most of the time. I just think of the face the person will have and how much they will love it (or so I hope!) and it motivates me. I like to get into the Christmas Spirit!!

I adore shopping for my dear friends! This is probably my favorite aspect of the Christmas season! There not much of anything, just something special to me that I feel my loved one will enjoy, but I get so excited with each gift I send!

Movin' on up!
I love to shop. It must be genetic - before her stroke, my mother was a compulsive shopper. I don't spend nearly as much as she did but, when Jen and I hit the sales, the trunk of my car gets pretty full.

Online shopping is fun, too. I can find so many things, not available in Tucson.

I am leaning towards just getting gift cards for everyone, and they can just get what they want. Unless someone makes a specific request, that will be what I do from now on. Ususally my GF knows well in advance what she would like. A lady in one store told me that is becoming more and more common each year for people to get gift cards.

I voted No.

For one, I don't think it fair that I have to buy for people I don't even like, but have to because it is not right to show up with gifts for everyone else and not a select few.

I feel like crap because I know my family can spend a ton of money on me, but I can only afford $20/30 per person. I feel cheap.

Sure, giftgiving is fun, but I hate the way it makes me feel when I realize that I can't afford to buy what I want to buy them.
