Im fixing to load PB up and take him for his spay & neuter procedure-- I finally found a vet that will do both reasonably. PB displayed some symptoms of a queen in heat a few weeks ago although it didnt last long. The vet ( my regular vet) i took him to when he was displaying the heat signs confirmed that it definatly looked and sounded like he was in heat. He luckily hasnt started spraying but one of his testicles has descended, so i have a weird feeling that now is a good time to get him altered. For those of you who dont know PB is a hermaphrodyte (a cat with both male and female sex organs, confirmed via ultrasound)

PB has to stay overnite and i cant pick him up until after 4 pm tomorrow so please please send him some vibes to come thru this ok. This vet has done a few of these type procedures but never on a cat. This vet has spayed and neutered several of my own and friends animals so i have confidence in him and his work. Its just going to be different without my PB zipping around the house tonite and tomorrow and pouncing on everyone who comes near. I might actually get some sleep
(or maybe not cause my kitten wont be with me.)

Chay and I are wishing PB well! Chay says he knows how he feels - he just got neutered yesterday!

PB is ok-- he actually slept ON my chest last nite (he has not done that since he was a tiny baby) and has pretty much been sleeping stretched out since i brought him home. Hes not eating near as much and it looks like he is in some pain. He keeps his eyes either squinted or closed most of the day is why i assume he has some pain. If the pain isnt gone monday hes going back in. He wont let anyone pet his back or sides on his tummy area-- so i know its a bit painful. Other than that he seems somewhat ok-- Ive never had a animal react this way to a spay/neuter surgery. Usually they have bounded back within 12-24 hours. PB was spayed around 1130 am thursday morning so its been over 24 hours already. Just a concerned meowmy i guess.

well, but he had both, so that's more. i think they sleep on us when they need heat - Java used to all the time when she was having loose stools - i think she was having cramps, too. she also slept on me after her spay. she rarely does anymore
too bad, it was cute! i hope he gets to feeling better, soon
