Recommended vets in SW Michigan?

Hi all,

If all goes well, my kitten will be arriving on Friday. I'd like to have her checked out at a vet shortly after she arrives, probably Monday morning. I am somewhat new to the area that I am currently living in, and was wondering if anyone has any vet recommendations for the southwest michigan area, more specifically, Kalamazoo. There are several vets in the area, some very conveniently close by, but I would love to hear any stories anyone has be them good or bad relating to the vets in this area. Thanks in advance!

Couldn't tell ya since I am in CT, but wanted to tell you to contact any of the local rescue organizations and see who they might recomend. They usually deal with vets on a regular basis and have a good idea.

I think I may make a few surprise visits too, and see if I get any gut feeling about the places around here.
