I don't think it's an American term... maybe it means a non-purebred... a feline mutt so to speak...that's the only thing i can think of... anyone from across the pond know?

hi,
I think it is a UK term for what you call domestic cats

Yeehaww... I was right... I kinda figured it was, but I wanted to be sure... I love Moggies... purebreds are gorgeous... I wouldn't mind one someday... but I love my moggies...

Now, tell me what your screen name means!
My screen name? It refers to Jack, who, like his big sis, has multiple nicknames... one of Jack's being Rub ****. When I first joined this forum, I had someone ask if **** was as derogatory here in the States as it is overseas... yes, it is... but in this sense, it's all love... Jack is a real lover, if I 'sing-song' "Pretty Boy" to him, he flops down onto his back and begs for a belly rub... hence Rub ****. Even when he's been sick, which has been the majority of his 3 year life, he would always have time for a tummy rub... now, he's better, gaining weight and back to earning one of his other nicknames: LS... JoJo(JJ) is DC (I'm sure you can figure out what DC is for) so when i got Jack several weeks later, DC was already bestowed upon JoJo... so LS (Little S***) became his bad-kitty nickname. He's broken my favorite salt shaker and is just a general holy terror... but then he sleeps next to me and is such a little loverboy that I forget most of the psychotic behavior he showed earlier...

I love my two little monsters... so much I am >this< close to adding a 3 month old kitten into the mix... as soon as tomorrow... I have another post on that... don't know what that one's bad-kitty nickname will be... he/she has to do something first...

Does that answer your question?
