I had many plants when I first got Toby and I was`nt sure what was safe and what was`nt...so I gave them all away.
I`ve seen several lists on the net that tell what is and what is not safe...all of the list do NOT agree.

A few of the most common that were on all the safe lists that i found were:

African Violet
Baby Tears
Boston fern
Begonias
Ivy-Leaf Peperomia
Piggy Back Plant
Parsley
Swedish (but NOT English!) Ivy

I`m sure there are others...but for those of you who love plants but have been afraid to have them with your cats...at least this a little list to get you started.

IA. If you need me, just meow..
Shoot. The only things I grow ( and I KNOW they are cat safe) are cat grass and cat nip! unfortunately I have a black thumb and normal plants aren't safe around me!
So I figure, why not make the cats happy and have a little green around the house as well?

Well that`s a good idea! Not that those planst are EVER going to get really very big though! ;-)
That Oak Leaf plant is pretty easy to grow and only wants to be watered once it has actually dried out. You can pick pieces off and just tick them back in the dirt to make the plant fuller ...or to start new ones. It does`nt require a whole lot of light either and is really a pretty plant...sort of reminds me of poison ivy. (Which IS a lovely LOOKING plant)
