Harley, you're in the part of MN that was supposed to get 6-8"(according to KARE 11), aren't you? We had 2 hr late school this morning(not that is applies to me!). Fairmont school was 2 hrs late, but Northrup closed school. They are so close together, that it seemed weird to me(harley will understand the geography!). It was big wet flakes last nigth & really windy that when I went outside the snow hurt when it hit my face. I didn't have coveralls on, so when I was running back to the house I stepped into a drift knee high! We have something like 6-8" on the ground, but most of that was her before it began snowing. It was so windy here, though. It is still snowing right now. I think it could snow lightly straight through tomorrow afternoon. I was mad that I couldn't go to the HS to volunteer last night because of blowing snow! It is a wet snow(duh!) so it makes awesome snowballs. Coco(one of the dogs) & i were outside playing fetch with a compacted snowball & having a snowball fight this morning!

HA! to all of you who don't have snow! You don't know what you are missing!
Your right, I understand!

We are getting TONS of snow right now, not sure exactly how much more we're supposed to get, last I checked, it was another 4 inches....I love the snow!!

It will be a good night to cuddle up with Harley and watch TV

Update from Milwaukee, I guess we are supposed to get a total of 4 - 6 inches by 9pm tonight. Boy did I wait too long to go grocery shopping. The fridge is empty & it's go to the store or skip dinner.

Oh no! How far is it to the store for you?
I know I waited too long to put gas in my car....I was on E, and I woke up to 4 inches of snow....so I had to wake up about a 1/2 hr earlier (
) to go and get gas so I could start my car and let it run!....waste of gas anyways!!

We just got groceries...thank goodness!!

It's snowing here too.
I hate snow! I have this horrible fear of driving in it for some reason. Brad loves to drive in it though so we aren't stranded if we have to go somewhere. Yesterday it was all nice and melting away. I was ok with that. now it's snowing and yucky out again. The streets are horrible and I'm sure driving is really bad. They snow plow once a millenium here so I don't forsee the roads being better soon, I'm just thankfull I don't have to go out in it!

Rocket is running around here like a caged beast! He's get cabin fever so bad! Poor thing! He's not understanding why mom won't let him out on the porches to watch the birds and squirrels. He's used to doing that when moms home. But not now
! it's too cold! I try and play with him more but he's more interested with tearing around the house then the toys. Oh well hopefully winter will be over soon????

I was in central Wisconsin this am at my parents but left at 8:00 to drive home. Its supposed to snow until Friday sometime!!! I did a bit of grocery shopping while at mom's so I can start my baking!!! Its about a 2 hr trip home-the major hwy I was on wasn't too bad. Its a pain through when semi's pass and you can't see for a few seconds!!! The forcast goes from 3-11 inches by time its all done. I think we are going to get at least 5-8". Which is ok-I actually have a headache I think from not drinking enough water yesterday while shopping so I am just going to sit on sofa with the kittys and enjoy the woodstove's heat and the snow!!!
But finally should be able to xcountry ski and snowshoe (plus sledding we have a few good hills on our property.

It`s been snowing off and on this morning, but I don`t think any accumulation as of yet. (Although we still have some of the 9-10 inches we got last week) We are supposed to get several more inches late tonight and early tomorrow morning...and flurries over the next several days.

(Sorry about that for those of you who don`t like the snow.)
I LOVE it!....Since it`s here whether we like it or not...then I figure some of us might as well love it, right?

Had a little snow this morning here in Central Indiana. We had a rather nice one last Thursday where it dropped 6 inches.

You crack me up!
Yeah I'm the bummer who doesn't like the snow. I just don't like to be cold and unfortunately I can't move since Hubbys business is here. I like the first snow of the season and that's about all. But I LOVE Christmas music so sing to your hearts content!!! I LOVE IT!!!

The grocery store is on my way home from work so I won't have to go out of my way, it's just a hassle to have to sludge through the snow to carry the bags up to my appartment.

We are, and it's really pretty! I just got home from work and it's just dark now. People have their Christmas lights on, the snow is coming down, and I can smell that wonderful fireplace smell.....Ahhhh! So relaxing! Puts "warm fuzzies" into my heart, right where I need them.

I tried to send 5 new enlistees to Navy boot camp today. No go. Connecting flights out of Dallas cancelled.

I'm a little disappointed, we were supposed to get 4 - 6 inches, here in Milwaukee we got less than 2. Although it sure did make for an easy shopping trip.

Ummm...It's still snowing! It hasn't hardly stopped since it started! YAY!!
I had to pick up all of the neighbor kids(the ones that live on our road) yesterday after school. The bus couldn't get down our road & we are the only one with a 4WD truck! Mom got the call from the school & I was called my cell phone. I was in town at the bank & had both dogs with me. lol The truck can fit 6 people. Let's see..me driving, little sis, 4 neighbors & 2 dogs! It was really, really fun! lol The foreign exchange student had to sit with an 80# dog in his lap because he has the least fragile bones!

The down side is I am suffering from Humane Society withdrawl! I haven't gotten to go volunteer since last Thursday! Sat I was sick, Tue it was too windy to drive anywhere(it took dad & his 4WD truck 2 hours to drive home when it should have taken 30 min). It is starting to look bad outside, but I AM going shoppping no matter what! I have to buy cat food & volunteer or I might DIE!

It was 45 degrees yesterday afternoon & snowing. Weird, right? The top l;ayer of snow was crusty enough that when the dogs & I went for a romp they didn't fall through. I did, though. It was great. They would dance around me trying to knock me down like it was a game. Needless to say, I burned quite a few calories!

I ran outside to measure. We've got an average of 8". It is supposed to snow until later tonight, so they are saying 10 by the time we are done. There is a 70% chance of snow tomorrow, 40% chance on Sat, & 30% chance on Sun. The weatherman annnouced he thinks we will have a white Christmas(finally!) this year!

Where in the area do you live? I'm on the near north side of the city and we got nothing! My parents live out in Naperville...I wonder if they got any?
