i was looking all over at the Pet section of my County Max store, and i came across the Nutro section. I bought one of each of the Kitten wet cans. How does everyone like them? Prue and Isis gobbled the turkey and giblets right up,lol.

I am a big Nutro fan. Switched over from Iams and already have noticed a difference in my cats coat and health. Good stuff.

Nutro is okay (not Nutro Max, that's the lowest ranked of the Nutro formulas), but there are better foods to feed. I don't know much about Country Max, but it's website shows Chicken Soup For The Pet Lover's Soul and Felidae as being sold there. Felidae is the best that I can see listed (it's a top of the line food, up with California Natural and Innova), with Chicken Soup 2nd and Nutro 3rd. Try Felidae and Chicken Soup, they're good foods to feed.

I decided to start feeding Ginger a higher grade canned food after reading a few threads in this forum

I found the foods/brands I wanted to try here at this source. I ordered and received some Merrick's Gourmet, Natural Balance Ultra, and Newman's Own Organic. Each 'looked' good and had a pleasant odor.

She liked and ate all of them
. I just reordered more Merrick's and NB. The Newman's was more expensive(I used my calculator to find out the "per ounce" cost of each.) than those two and she doesn't need that much variety.

I am also going to try out a locally available food, Authority as it's received high marks here too.

Nutro max canned are good .. the dry is what many have trouble with due to wheat ...

I use
Nutro
Natural balence
Felidea
California Natural
Authority
Meow mix( certain ones)
Merrick ( when I can get to the cheaper store )
Blue Spa ( salmon is the only one eatenat my house)
Innova
Eagle Pack
this list is not all inclusive but all of these are good foods in wet formulas

chn soup is good also I dont use it cause three out of three turned noses up at the canned(YMMV)
I tried newmans and it didnt fly ( not sure why)

My cats were on nutro indoor kitten dry and then suddenly decided they hated it (they never really liked the nutro canned). I now have them on a mix of innova evo and felidae with canned natural balance and just bought some merricks today (they really like it). My kitties are very picky about their wet food and have only been happy with the natural balance so far so I'm glad I found the merricks to supplement and add some variety.

I often have trouble getting cats to eat Max Kitten. I like its consistency for assisted feeding of very young kittens who won't take a bottle, though.
