Just wanted to ask everyone to remember and pray for a sweet, young male cat that was abandoned in the snow and cold by his owner. A kind woman tried to find help for the cat and called around to several local shelters for advice/assistance. No one returned her calls.
Meanwhile, she took the cat to a vet to be checked out, where he tested positive for FIV. Although the cat was otherwise healthy, the vet recommended that he immediately be PTS. Not knowing any better, the woman agreed. We learned about this after the fact. It just makes me so sad knowing we likely could have helped place this cat. I don't know anymore than that about him, but just feel like he should be remembered somehow. RIP sweet boy.
