Hi, my name is Lisa and I just joined the site, though I think I've lurked here before. Hubby and I live in South Florida (East coast) with 5 cats, 1 bird, and an aquarium full of fish (at least a dozen I'd bet). Here now is the rest of the family:

Jasmine is our eldest female. She's just over 12 1/2 years old and joined our family when hubby bought her for me as an anniversary gift. She's grey and white.

George is our eldest (and dominant) male. He's a little over 10 years old and is dark brown-black tiger-striped with just a little bit of a white bow-tie. In his younger days he used to play fetch for hours on end with one of his toys. He came to us when as a kitten he cried and cried outside our door while hubby was trying to play video games. Hubby took him in just to shut him up and save his concentration.

Sonny is next, at 6 years old. He is a large orange and white long-haired male. We think he may be part maine coon. He became ours when a friend's cat had kittens.

Last but not least are Salt and Pepper....otherwise known as "The Twins" "The Munchkins" and "The Babies" or as hubby lately calls them "The Terrorists". They were a rescue from a construction jobsite hubby was working on when they were less than 4 weeks old. They had been taken to a shelter, but upon being told that they 'would be killed if left here', they came home with us. Their names probably give away their appearance -- one is all black and one is mostly all white (he was much more so as a kitten). As Salt has grown up his reddish-brown points have extended covering almost his whole tail and putting some streaks (including what looks like a bulls-eye target) on his body. It has been suggested that he must be at least partially a flame-point siamese. Pepper too has some siamese qualities, which backs up that impression. They are about a year and a half old.

Last but not least, even though this site is not about her, is the bird. Bee-Bop is a 14 year old, sulphur-crested cockatoo and makes sure she is not forgotten about. The three elder cats very obviously respect her and her beak and avoid/ignore her at all costs. The babies however, have yet to learn that.

Thanks for all the welcomes!
I will post the pics soon -- so far I've only accessed the site from work (as my home computer has been down), where I don't have access to my pics.
