delay

is there a delay in the new posts function? or is there a delay period on the site?

I notice that when I post to a thread it isnt coming up under new posts...

its now almost 20 minutes after I have posted this and its still not showing up in 'new posts' althought posts that have been submitted since then by other people are showing up.

is it a setting of mine?

Could it be a setting in my "edit options?" My post still do not show in the "new posts."

I can see you are being confused by one of the different ways the new 3.5 software works.

The reason is that 'New Posts' does not show threads that you are upto date with (i.e. have read all the posts) - Now, if you post to a thread, then the software considers that you have obviously read it - therefore it will not show up in the list again until someone else posts to it.

In other words, 'new posts' now means new to you, and not new to the board.
