I just got back from seeing "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" It was fantastic!! I highly recommend it! Best thing is it didn't cost me a dime. I had rec'd 2 free movie tickets from Albertson's just for buying Gatoraid!

I have always loved the books and it brought it to life.

This is pretty much my favourite book series, so I am VERY excited about the movie! I REALLY want to go see it! And now that I've heard it's fabulous, I'm even more excited

On the west side of... of... somewhere.
i saw it Friday night with some friends here... the graphics were AMAZING! Aslan looked very realistic, IMHO. They were also very true to the book. It was very nice to see that. I haven't read the books in years, but remember them very well. If they cut anything out, it's hard to tell. They did an incredible job. Well done!

Haha it doesn't look that great to me, but then again I haven't read the books.

Something else for NZ to be proud of? I dunno! Not a huge LOTR or King Kong fan either.

I loved those books when I was about 7 or 8!
Not sure about how I'd like the movie though. Admid: Who else regularly tried to get through their wardrobe to Narnia as a kid?

I am really looking forward to seeing this movie too! It will bring back a lot of childhood memories

I just bought the DVD with the original cartoon version on it - I have not yet got to watch it because I want to wait until it snows and then I will watch it!

It was great! The little girl was so cute and had some of the funniest lines! I liked how some time they used cg but balanced it with real life animals when they can (ie the wolves and occasionally a model for Aslan). It made it seem more real. They did a great job with Fawn. I think my favorite part was the first confrontation between the little girl and Mr. Tomas!! Hehe.

I am so excited to see these, however I've been banned from seeing them! Lol we'll not really. My parents used to read them to me when I was a wee little thing and then when I got old enough to read them myself I did. Since I'm going to be flying down to visit them for xmas (I live in Michigan and they live in Texas) they've forbidden me from seeing the movie until I get down there to see it with them
Can't wait!

It's actually interesting to see.... but y boyfriend brought this little idea up when we were talking about the move - about how very similar to the bible the Chronicles of Narnia really are. Now he did give me some explanation as to which characters corresponded with who, but it was very insightful.... just not something you would think of while reading the books. I'll certainl be reading the books again with that in mind just to see what I think of it with that little viewpoint.

That is interesting. I think some of the best stories/movies have snipped a few ideas from the bible.

It's good to hear this movie is a hit. I loved the cartoon version when I was a kid. I'll probably see it during Christmas holidays.
