I've noticed that Mitts will use any opportunity to walk, sit or lay on me. If he could easily jump over my legs, he will use every one of his legs to touch me!!!

He jumps over hubby, though.

He also naps on my hip, waist or shoulder if I am laying on my side.

If he needs to walk past me, he must walk on me!

Anyone else have cats that think you are furniture??

Loving my beautiful baby girl
My girlies are the very same! Sierra is so precious, wherever I am, she is, as well!
Serenity has quite a need for constant physical contact, and must be touching me pretty much at all times.
Like you said, instead of simply walking past me, they will stroll over me!
If I am in one place for any length of time, one or both of them are on me! Our babies are so wonderful!

My youngest Saffy does that. She will jump on your shoulder whether your walking round the house minding your own business or sitting on the sofa watching the t.v or reading a magazine.
When she was a bit younger she used to climb up my leg when i was in the kitchen doing the breakfast/luch/dinner etc. That really hurt.

I still
love
her though and always will even if she does try to kill me

Our boy Kuri likes to walk on me, as well! And anytime he sees me sitting down, even for a second, like sitting on the bed just to put on my socks in the morning, he thinks it's an opportunity for him to get comfy on my lap. When I have to move, he literally whines to show his displeasure! It sounds like "MmmmUUUmmm." You know like when you take away a toy from a little kid and they go, "noooOOOooo..." with the raise in intonation in the middle. Just like that. ha ha.

More confirmation this morning.

Mitts slept ON my hip for about 4 hours.

He weighs like 10 pounds now so maybe the cuteness will wear off???

But such an improvement from when he didn't want to be anywhere near me.

4 of my 5 cats love to be on or near me whenever they can. When I settle down at night to watch tv it is not out of the question for two or three to be on right there with me, and its a constant rotation. If one leaves, another one gets right in that spot!

Ditto!

She always takes the direct approach as the crow flies, even if she has to climb stuff (or me) to get there.

There's a poster here with the name "I am Furniture" - that always made me laugh.

Our new kitten always has to be held. If you put her down she follows you whining. So I have now started putting her in a baby sling I made for my youngest daughter as a baby. Kloe the kitten loves to ride in it. Typically she falls asleep in it like a real baby-I know this sounds obsurd but it's the only way I get anything done. Because I hate to hear her whine and cry(and it hurts when she tries climbing my leg). My oldest daughter even carries her around in it. Here are some pictures. Yes, she is actually asleep in the pink sling around my daughter.

and the baby's close up where you can see how content she is since she's asleep

I made one of these slings for my sister-in-law for her baby and she says her cat likes riding in theirs too.
