A little while ago, in another thread I couldnt find again, I remember a member (I think Hissy) who said a kittys food and water bowel should be seperated. I know why the food and water bowels should not be near the litter box, but why would you need to seperate the food and water? Does anyone know? Right now I still have them together, but if I recieve a good reason to move one, I will.

It can cause vomiting and stomach upset. It is best to have them spaced enough apart that the cat has to relax and breathe before drinking water after gobbling food. Most cats are gobblers.

i, too separate their food n water bowls.... they wud hv their meal in the kitchen (except Rico n Akechi in 2 separate rooms) n their water source is in the living room...

i used a clay made bowl as their water bowl coz i found that cats love to drink not juz fresh water but also slightly cooler water (especially during summers)...
