Cuteness Alert--The National Cat Club Show

This was the first cat show I have ever been to and I thought I would share some of the photos I took!

Lovely pictures. Thanks for sharing. I'd love to go to a cat show, sometime. I've been to numerous horse shows, and one dog show, but never a cat show.

Oh cute kitties! The second kitty looks so white and fluffy it could just float away!

I'm not surprised that second kitty won! That pure white, with all the white in the cage. Even white kitty litter!!! She is a beauty. Thanks for sharing!

In the shows run by the GCCF (General Council of Cat Fancy) the regulations are that the pens cannot be decorated and everything inside them has to be white (blamket, litter, drink bowls) except in the finals.

I myself haven't been to a cat show.. but I think it would be interesting to see one.. I've been to a few dog shows, breed specific, and one horse show that a friend was competing in.

Was the Sphynx cat or cats in the final's? I noticed those pens are not decorated in white.

No they were on display by their breeders in the cat club section. They had not been entered into the competition.

What beautiful cats! I`d love to go to a cat show sometime....only first I need to get over my heart aching everytime I see one in a cage (Including my own in a carrier everytime I have to take them to the vet.)

The second picture is of a Chinchilla or a Shaded Silver Persian. The third picture is of a White Persian.

Haha that's so old school! We had that rule for many decades in our organisation (NZCF) it's great to see a cage with some colour!

And yikes, everything to be white *looks shocked* I know for a fact it would be really hard to find everything that you needed and for it to have to be white!!! And expensive probably too!
