My co-worker offered to drive me (and another lady from work) to the Office Holiday Party last night, and came to pick me up early so I could go to her place and meet one of her kitties who I hadn't met yet. I've met the other two previously. So I met Angel, who is adorable and such a sweet little people kitty.
Then she took me over to her neighbor's house so I could meet his kitty, Montana. Montana is a HUGE kitty and a HUGE lovebug. He's at least 25 pounds and really only slightly overweight. He's probably 18-20 inches long, not including his tail! But the big surprise of the evening was her kitty Whiskers. Whiskers is a pretty orange girl who is usually VERY shy with strangers. Most of Kim's guests never even see Whiskers, let alone get to pet her. Well, I not only saw her, and was able to pet her (with her prancing around and rubbing on me and everything else she could)....but she allowed me to pet her tummy!!!
Kim was jealous because Whiskers doesn't even allow HER to pet her tummy!
Whiskers must have just known how much of a kitty person I am.
And then, when we got to the event place, there was this precious little black kitty, probably about 6 months old, who was quite the little greeter to us. He was very vocal and lovey, and I swear if I had felt ribs he would have come home with me!! But it was very obvious that he was someone's loved kitten, and very well fed.
I was in kitty heaven!

WTG Heidi! Isn't it funny when those kitty nights happen? The stars and moon align just right and you have an unexpected 4-legged adventure.

Other than the kitty's, how was the party?

I'm still laughing about Whiskers letting me pet her tummy, when her Meowmy can't even touch the tummy!

The office party was actually a lot of fun. We did one of those Murder Mystery parties with actors and such. Dinner was OK but not great, the open bar was great (I wasn't driving anywhere!
), and it really was a lot of fun!
