I'm a newly adopted Mom to Sheba, a 1 year old tortoiseshell who was a stray until 2 weeks ago. Sheba started showing up all of a sudden to show her interest in my love for feeding the wild birds. I really didn't pay too much attention to her until it started to get freezing cold at night and I noticed she was scooting under my house. I felt really bad because she was so thin and looked scared and cold. Every time I went near her to pet her she'd run away. I put out a small dish of canned tuna (I didn't have any cat food) and she gobbled it like she hadn't eaten in weeks. When I opened the door to check on her, she held her tail straight up and walked in the house like she lived there all her life. She has taken over my house and my husband's and my life and given us so much love and joy!

We took her to the vet for her shots and an exam. Who knew that a little love could cost so much! Except for a little eye infection the vet said she's healthy.

We couldn't be happier to have our new addition and I know she loves us because she loves to cuddle up and purr constantly. Her favorite hobby is sitting in the front window watching CAT-TV - The Bird Channel!

Hi, WELCOME to TCS! You're gonna love it here. A new meowmy (that's what we call cat moms on this site), huh? Be prepared for both the worst and the best!! i.e. making messes vs. purring and cuteness

Ooh, she sounds so cute!! The Bird Channel, huh? We get that at our house, too, but more channels during the spring.
....Glad to hear she is healthy, and that she has a great home now with you!

Hello and welcome!
Sheba is one lucky kitty to have found you and your hubby--doesn't take them long to take over, does it?!
I'm so glad she's healthy, and I KNOW she's a very happy little cat now, with her wonderful new home and a loving family to go with it!! Thank you so much for taking in this little stray and giving her a comfy, loving home--believe me, you will never regret it!

She sounds like a sweetheart. I'm glad you found each other. This is a great site, too. I've found so many answers to questions I didn't even realize I had until I read more and more of the posts.
