I was out shopping the other day, and saw a Christmas gift set that included a popular teeth whitening product, mouthwash, toothpaste and a toothbrush. At a cost of $25, I wouldn't consider that a stocking stuffer. Would you be insulted if someone gave you this for Christmas if you didn't ask for it? I think I would!

Um, I would be! Unless maybe I traveled a lot, that would be a great thing to have in my suitcase. But I think I would still rather buy that myself and not have it given to me as a gift, I might feel offended!

No, I wouldn't really want that either. I've seen it in the store before, that is weird. I would not be offended, but usually toothpaste and mouthwash isn't exactly at the top of everybody's Christmas list....

My Mom bought me a fancy electric tooth brush last year! She had bought herself one earlier in the year and loved it so she bought one for all her kids. I think my brother said something along the lines of " are you trying to say my teeth are dirty". I love mine. So I probably wouldn't be offended if a family member bought me one. I might be alittle upset if a co-worker gave it to me though!!!

An electric toothbrush wouldn't bother me
There is just something about the mouthwash and whitening product that bothers me.

I know!! It's almost like getting Windex or or a mop for Christmas or something...I mean, sure it comes in handy I guess, but that's something you go GROCERY SHOPPING for!

It surely comes in handy, but I think I'd feel offended....christmas presents are supposed to be nice, not only useful!

I wouldn't mind it. I have some whitening gel in the fridge I just don't have enough discipline to use it every day for a consistent period of time. I gave my sister and electric toothbrush for Christmas a few years ago.

Yeah, it's like deodorant... or maybe a toilet bowl cleaning kit.

(I wouldn't have any problem with an electric toothbrush -- from a family member -- it's still a little personal, but for me would qualify as something you might like to have, but not be prepared to spend the money on yourself.)

I would be if I didn't ask for it, but if it's expensive to someone and they wanted it, I guess it would be an ok gift...."For someone who has everything!" There you go Babyharley, you can get THAT for your neighbors!
