Don't know how much we have yet, enough for no school.
When my phone rang a little over an hour ago, I knew it was at least a delay. We're supposed to be getting about 8 inches, too. I am so happy to have an extra day, I have a lot to do to get ready for Christmas, and we just decided to go to New York City tomorrow to do touristy Christmas things.

Stay safe if you need to be on the road today.

Here in Dallas, we had no snow, but sleet and ice on Wednesday, and now it is soooo darn cold for here (13 degrees F.) Schools were closed yesterday because of the ice...but the roads got much better by noon yesterday...

We have about 2" on the gound so far and it is coming down REAL heavy. They are predicting 5-8", but I will be fairly close to the rain/snow line later this afternoon.

We got about 9" of snow last night!
My hubby took a vacation day to plow out our drive and the lane so that we, and all the neigbors, can get out...although with this much snow i don`t know where he thinks anyone is going to go. (I suspect that he maybe just wants to play in the snow!)
Our son just finished shoveling the walks and is now using the roof rake to take the 2" drift off the front of the house. Both cats are fasinated with the roof raking!
Our son picked both of our INDOOR only cats up and carried them outside just off the porch and set them in the snow....they INSTANTLY plowed their way back to the front door! I never realized how BIG and fluffy their tails could get! Bet they won`t be trying to get outside anytime again soon!
Me? I`m staying INSIDE where it`s WARM! Somebody has to babysit the cats, right?(Maybe I`ll make them some choc chip cookies and warm cocoa) :-)

COMBINATION OF POOR VISIBILITY AND SNOW COVERED ROADS. PLAN ON EXTRA
TRAVEL TIME AND REMEMBER TO ADJUST YOUR DRIVING FOR WINTER WEATHER
CONDITIONS.

Lucky thing I love snow!!
It started snowing around 5:30am here, and it's still snowing VERY hard right now. Quite the storm! I think this is the one most people are talking about. I just measured it with a ruler--here, it's already up to around 6 inches. They even named it...something like Winter Storm Aramand, I can't remember. Practically all the schools are closed, too. The roads are really slippery, too. But, hey, it's pretty!!!

Wow, sounds like quite the storm. Take care! We must've got some of that last night, because there's a lovely fresh dump of snow and I'm looking forward to getting in some skiing.

At least they'll now appreciate the comforts of being indoor only cats!

We got from 4 to 6 inches between late yesterday afternoon and early this morning. It was a headache for people trying to get home during rush hour.
Went for a walk around the neighborhood last night. Between the newly fallen snow and the Xmas lights, it was absolutely beautiful!
