my cat is always drooling, is it a medical problem? or just somthing that cats do?

Cats can drool for no reason at times....I have met a few that did.....

Sometimes when cats get excited and overly happy they drool...I have met one of them too.....

And then there are some cats who drool because they are sick.....And as it seems your cat has just started drooling...It would probably be a good idea for you to visit the vet.....

yeah, its done it for a while. but she seems to be doing it more latley. its usually purring when she does it. so it could be happy drooling. but its better to be safe then sorry i suppose.

Hope drools when she purrs. Its overexcitement. If they are drooling when they are not purring I'd be concerned.

Some cats just drool more than others --that's what my vet says. One of my cats, Sony, drools constantly...at least it sure seems like it.

I'd have a vet check out her mouth/teeth...an increase in drooling can often indicate a tooth problem.

My oldest, Baby, drools alot when he purrs. I've noticed Buddy does it too when he is in a loveable purring mood (which isn't often ). So as long as she seems happy/purring when she's drooling, I'd say it's just overexcitement like someone else has said.

My new cat Natasha drools when she is being petted. It's kind of cute and gross at the same time.
She also kneads. Kneads and drools that's Tasha.

My Emily and Cubby are sisters and they do it when they purr. It just drips out of them....I really don't like it when Emily does it when she's on my head at night. She sometimes AIMS for the inside of my ear, I just know it. A lot of drooling could indicate stomach upset or a bad tooth. Better get it checked out.

I have tried to take notice of when he drools....or rather, when he doesn't. It does seem to be more pronounced when he's purring and being petted.
