Here... or There... Hmmm
I had put a post in the tattoo thread about this but the thread seems to have died a bit since then and I was wondering if anyone would like to assist me.

First off, I want to get another tattoo. I have been creating it for 8 years now, since my mothers death. I have many pieces that I want incorporated into the tattoo, but can not draw well myself to get it all laid out the way I want to even bring it to a tattoo artist to find the proper person to do it for me. I have a specific angel face I want, specific wings and other things as well.

What I was wondering was, if there was anyone out there who draws well (faces included) that might help me with drawing up my memorial tattoo for my mother. I had someone working on it previously but then he had to move to California all of a sudden and then I had no one. Anyone who might be intersted in helping me out or knows someone that might PM me or post here and we can talk details! Thanks guys!!!

what i would do is find a really good tatto artist in your area, and have them design it for you, that way when they put it on they know what you want. it might cost more but in the long run you will like it better

You should just take your concept to a tattoo artist, that is what they do

Yes, taking it to a tattoo artist to get it drawn be that best idea, because they will have to redraw it anyway to make it tattooable. 99 out of a hundred drawings that people take in already done have to be redrawn, mostly because of people not knowing the limits on how much detail can be done in a relatively small area. Gather up all the components, specific face, specific wings, whatever you can find that you want. Don't worry about having it done well enough to take it to a tattoo artist, they have seen it all. People bring in drawings in crayon wanting them cleaned up and tattooed on them. It is actually much easier to bring in the parts and go from there that to bring in a drawing that must be changed around to your specifications. That can try the patience of even the most patient artist, even if the client is not trying to be difficult. My s/o is a tattoo artist for 20 years, and I have worked as his assistant, resizing, cutting, pasting, putting together parts people have brought in. Do you have an artist in mind in your area?

I do not have an artist in mind yet as I wanted to complete the design first. The tattoo is going to be rather large, full back probably! I just wasn't sure if going to the tattoo shop would be the best route until I know who I'd like to do it and the design completed. Thanks to everyone though for all of your ideas! The guy I had drawing it up before was going to tattoo it as well!!
