ME TOO!!!!!

I'm freezing here too today! I think it's 5 degrees if I looked at the therometer right. I hate winter. why does it have to be so darn
!? I have to work tonight and when I get off it's going to be so cold and I'll be sitting there waiting for my car to warm up and freezing! All the cats have taken over the bed at night now so I think we have to get a bigger bed! 3- 10 and 1- 22 pound cats, plus two humans in a queensized bed and the cats thinking they need ALL the space so they don't touch each other, makes for a long night. Warm, but long! I've put some blankets on the floor and the chairs for them but they seem to prefer the bed. I guess three comforters, one regular blanket and flannel sheets tend to be EXTEREMLY warm compared to one blanket. Can you tell I hate being cold???

It is time consuming to make, but it is so good. That and my homemade Bleu Cheese Dressing is what I give locals at Christmas

That pizza looks involved MA, but good! I do bleu cheese, too (but not for gifts). When I made my bleu cheese recipe, I was amazed at how simple and good it was and could kick myself for not trying it years earlier.

I will just be puttering around the house today aimlessly wondering how I am going to cope because my 26 episode of "Phoenix" (a Korean drama/soap) ended yesterday

Katherine - you go! What an jerk !
Isn't it funny that when a substantial amount of snowfall is forecast, people react like it's the "storm of the century" ??? Send some snow my way, Chris!! I haven't had any snow here yet...

Been on the phone with clients all morning. Am so hungry right now that I could eat five of those yummy-sounding chocolate pizzas and not even make a dent in the hunger!

Found out I made an A on my first grad school (public administration) final exam. Would love to celebrate tonight with a bottle of wine, but alas, I'm on-call. The fun never ends around here
.

Kelly, that's so cool you finally get a full day OFF!
Katherine- Brendan is SUCH an inconsiderate

Its been snowing here all morning
!

Back at work today after I was home sick with the flu yesterday, believe me, that was NO fun!

So since I was gone yesterday, that means I came back to my desk with a crap load of stuff to do, no fun
And of course I still don't feel up to par, so that makes the day go by even slower!

The only good thing about today, is that tomorrow is Friday, which leaves me having a weekend with nothing to do but relax! Hopefully I'll feel better by then!

This morning has been pretty uneventful...dropped into work to sign a bunch of company Christmas cards
One good thing this morning..is that I spoke to the lady that is in charge of booking events at the place where Jeff and I want to get married and one of the dates that we want is available!

This afternoon I have to go into work to fly a casket (I hate that part of my job) up to one of the reserves. I hope to be able to get back early enough tonight to have dinner with Jeff

I have been so lazy today, Did some dishes, sorted out my winter hats and mittens. Sewed 5 easy cat toys to give as presents to my sis and hairdresser, sorted the sewing box out. Have to think of supper which is hard as I went to lunch yesterday with 5 of my old co-workers (mexican) and that place always gives me a stomach ache!!!
Got the christmas cards out and will work on them later. DH calls and tells me to stop spending $$ as I am draining the checkbook!!!
It snowing outside right now!!!!
Also even though I don't have my tree up yet (have to buy on Saturday) I'm going to start wrapping presents.
Going to mom and dads on the 13th as its his birthday-mom and I will do some christmas shopping (me via VISA). Got one christmas party.
Then I have to start making the flavored nuts for gifts, the chex party mix and start some baking. I don't want that stuff laying around any longer than needed!!
Sis flys in on 12/22 for a week and Mom/dad probably the next day!!
Almost done shopping-one person hasn't been tackled yet-I find out suggestions Sunday.
The cats are all lazy-Grizzly sleeps in her "kitty sofa" all day!!!
Katherine-that is so rude about what your ex wants to do.
Congrats to all those students on their graduation, exams and all that fun stuff!!

All our Christmas shopping is done. The packages have been mailed. The kids won't be here this year which means I don't have to bake. I might make my chocolate pizza later and then use that as gifts for local friends. Mike is on his way to Portland to pick up more knives and the cats are running about the house like crazy maniacs. They love this colder weather!
Chocolate pizza? Might you have a recipe for that???

Not sure of the temp, but heating is full blast and I can't get warm!

Went christmas shopping today, thought i'd go early, but everyone had the same idea!
Wrapped pressies this afternoon, and still have stuff laying on the floor waiting to be done, cats are playing with the paper and roll of cellotape.

Made chicken stew with dumplings to warm us all up, been made admin of the online football game I've used for five years so sorting out bans and suspensions for that, soon I'm going to re decorate the wreck of a tree I have thanks to my babies, then bed.

It's quite cold here too, but blazing sun coming up over the mountains this morning. Sasha didn't even mosey downstairs for breakfast, he's crashed out on the heater vent upstairs, and Saba is with him. Sandy turns 10 mos today, but oblivious to any cold, she's just happy to be playing with her best buddy Buster in his yard. Eric and I celebrate our 3rd year together today!

The cats house, we just pay the mortgage..
Mark had his last exam today and I thought we were going to have a nice relaxing night tonight but he told me he's going out with his friends from uni. Which is fine but I just wish I had more friends up here (I only moved to Dundee recently all my friends are near Edinburgh) to just call and go out with or sit and watch TV with. So I was kind of sad so I phoned my big sister, who just moved into my Mums from Nottingham in August and she came up to see me and we went for a drink so that was nice.
I just wish Mark was home I need a hug

There's no place like home
The high here today was about 10F and my thermometer is now reading 4. It hasn't gotten above 12 for the last 48 hours. We got 10 inches of snow over the last 24 hours - that is a LOT of snow for the area. The furnace is going overtime and I can't get the house above 68F even with the fireplace blazing. I've made the ferals a fatty meal from meat to help them build some reserves. Thank heavens for heated water bowls!! And thank heavens that I had the plumbing fixed last year and nothing has frozen!!

Christmas cards and presents! HAHAHA! I just bought stamps yesterday and am pondering what the heck I'm going to do about both cards and presents.

I'm planning on staying home for Christmas - don't know if I'll be having surgery right around that time so don't want to have to cancel plans.

But I can tell you......that chocolate pizza recipe is looking like it will be on the holiday table sometime later this month! YUMMY!

I am so glad today is over!!!

It's been freezing here and I hate driving to work in the cold weather. I live very close to work (which isn't a good area). I don't want to leave my car running to let it warm up because of the neighborhood. But by the time I sit out in my car and let it warm up --- I could already be at work! So I freeze on the way there.

Work wasn't great either.. one of the first appointments we saw this morning was a very nasty Airedale dog. He seemed a little nervous so the dr. got a hold of his collar so I could hold on to him. As soon as I went to hold him he lunged at my face!!!!!
I had to throw myself back on the ground to get away from him. If the dr. hadn't been holding onto his collar it would have attacked me!! Very scary.

So the rest of our appointments could sense the fear and almost all of them were mean and bad.

Even though I do not like snow.. I hope it snows a whole bunch tonight so work closes tomorrow (yeah right!)

I hope everyone else's day was a lot better than mine!!

Well, it's definitley suppossed to snow here tomorrow and I cannot wait!
I took the day off too so I will enjoy cuddling in with Sash tomorrow morning and watching the snow fall.
I did a little bit of shopping today and will do some more tomorrow, mainly for my mom's birthday presents which is Sat. I have my mom and my dad's birthday's in Dec. too, so it's a busy month!
