Today I found a black kitten on the side of the road, I felt in love with him. When I brought him home, Andy smelled him and everything seemed ok, then he ran. He was afraid of the kitten. Then he became aggressive with us, not with the kitten but with us. Why? My concerned was that Andy could hurt him, but never imagined he would be angry with us. I had to take the kitten to the Bureau of Animal Regulation and Care. How embarrassing, I started crying; I got so attached to that little guy. They had to put him on a cage with a number and everything so I could see that he was alright. Earth eat me. I didnâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t have a choice Andy was like crazy. I was wondering if any of you know why he got mad toward us and not the kitten. My mother's cats get angry with other cats but not with her.

The introduction was to sudden. Andy had no time to adjust to the new smell and he reacted normally. Just for future reference, you should never bring in a cat and kitten and immediately introduce him to the other animals. The kitten or cat needs to be vetted first and declared healthy. Otherwise, you could be unwittingly bringing in fleas, mites, lice or even disease and exposing your cats to this-

I changed clothing, and mop the house very well. I thought of that on my way home from the animal place. I got too excited with the kitten, I didnâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t think. I was reading some posts, and you are right, a new animal in the house was a shocking for him.
