The poor dog! (warning very sad story)

Thread Starter
I just came across this story in the news.

(warning, there is a picture as soon as the story opens, it is very sad)

I can not believe the nerve of some people! I don't understand what goes through their minds that makes them think this is acceptable.
I hope they find out who did this and they receive whatever the maximum punishment is, even though imo they deserve to have this done to them.

That happened here in ST louis. I made me VERY upset, he is such a cute little puppy! I hope they re-home him, even though they say the owners were not responsible, they are responsible it is their dog! Whether they did it or not, he should'nt have been outside alone in the first place. IMO they are irresponsible and therefore do not deserve the puppy.

OMG! that poor baby! i hope they find who is responsible and i agree that it is partly the owners responsibility.

Oh no! This is devastating, poor little dog. I agree, I hope they find the person responsible, and would be quite pleased if they cut the person's ears off!

I would love to adopt him!!!!!! He is still absolutley adorable!!!!! If he comes up for adoption, I might talk my parents into it We have soft spots for pit bulls And I am sure Willy would'nt mind a little brother LOL He really needs a loving, CARING, and responsible home.

That is HORRIBLE and one more reason to fight animal abuse. Most state laws are lenient regarding sentencing for animal abuse. Even if the low-life is caught, chances are that he won't get what he deserves. For more info, please see the website in my siggy.

Whoever did it should have their ears chopped off.

I just don't understand how people could treat animals like this.
The owners may not have done this to the dog, but the owners are responsible for this dog's welfare.

I chickened out of looking too, I'm guessing the dog was mutilated in some way from what's been said. I'd like to see justice meted out 'an eye for an eye' and so forth.

I am suspicious.
Its too coincidental.
I think the owner tried to do an at-home ear cropping which ended horribly and then took the dog in when they realized they had botched the job.

I have heard of this scenario before, especially with pits and dobes

Poor Baby. I hope he gets re-homed.

I was also suspecting that The whole story still sounds fishy to me. Regardless he needs a better home. (me!)
