Leaving kitty with a friend for a couple of days..

Good day all

I'm going to b leaving my kitty with a friend of mine while my bf and I go away for a few days. I've decided to leave her with my friend cos I trust her a lot. The thing that's stressing me out is that she has two cats - one female, one male...which of course have been spayed and neutered. I just had Nermal spayed which helps as well, but my question is this: do you think she'll b ok for a couple of days with my bud and her cats?? I don't want her to come back battered because of jealousy from the others. My friend did mention though that if things get a bit sticky,she's got a big spare room to put my Nermies in. Any advice would be appreciated.

Can Nermal not stay at home, and your friend come in and check on her every day? It would be much less stressful for her, and for your friends cats

I would try and keep her at home as well

I'm going away for a few days at the end of the month and rather stress Rosie and Sophie with unfamiliar surroundings my neighbours going in to check on them twice a day

As long as your friend is scrupulous about not letting her get out, and about letting her stay in that extra room, and about feeding her and playing, she should be fine.

In answer to Purity and RosieMac - I would leave her at home and ask my friend to check on her everyday, but I stay an hour away from her - plus she doesn't have a car...

Thank you Larke, will keep that in mind...that's my only option right now...the friends I do have that stay around the corner from me are also going away otherwise I could have asked them

If she can`t com ethere so you can keep her at home, then I`d take her to your firends home for the 5 days....only I would request that she be in her own room away from the other cats...so that none of them have the stress of trying to get used to each other.

My cats are living at a friends for two weeks very soon. She is not able to come to my place so this seems to be the best arrangement. She does have another cat so my cats will have their own room. I figure that a whole nice room with visiting people and toys etc is way better than boarding them for two weeks. I think it would optimal to leave them at home but sometimes you have to do what is necessary. I think your cat will be fine.

Thank you so much Tour, that does make a lot of sense. ur so right when you say it's the best arrangement. Besides I don't have much of a choice, I'd rather my baby had a bit of company and attention instead of leaving her at home all by herself hoping that my friends are going to actually do what they say and check up on her...
