One of my cats, Indie is at the vet, had to stay overnight. Last night I came in and he wasnt moving around very much and he wouldnt eat or drink. I called the vet and got an appointment for 3pm today and took him in. He was mildly dehydrated and the inside of his ears was all yellow looking and his gums too. They took some blood and gave him fluids and are keeping him overnite. They think he has an autoimmune disorder. She is going to treat him with prednisone I think is what she said. I feel so bad for him, but he did perk up a little after he got fluids. She has to put a catheter in him tomorrow morning and was going to continue to give him fluids tonite. Has anyone else had any experience with autoimmune disorders in a kitty? My vet is going to call me at 9 in the morning with an update and let me know if she is going to keep him there another night. Poor little guy, he needs some good thoughts.
Thanks.

Indie is home! They are pretty sure its an autoimmune disease. He is on prednisone and an antibiotic and he is feeling much better, he was so happy to see us. He has to go back on Friday for them to check his blood again and hopefully he will be ok. He ate some when he got home and went around and headbutted all his buddies. He looks so much better than yesterday. Thanks for everyones well wishes for him!
