as many of you know, Mouse got sick about this time last year. well, Cable's been having very soft stools for about a week. first, i tried the medicine Pixel got - the vet said it was a general diarrheal medicine. i think it made her worse! stools turned black & got more liquidy - scaring me to death! so i called the vet last night, & made an appointment for this afternoon 4pm CST. since the medicine wasn't helping, i didn't give her a dose last night... this morning, she eliminated a pudding-consistency stool, light brown [yay!] in color. so the medicine was not right, no matter what the vet said. i'll post in the morning what the vet says this afternoon. vibes & prayers, as always, are welcome!

I'd rather it be "sticky-pudding" time.
Good luck.

actually, one of the reasons i haven't been too worried about her is because she acts like she feels just fine...just the litterbox problem! leaving now to go get her & take her to the vet!

It does seem to be Murphy's law or something, that cats and kids get sick at Christmas - just like we get toothache the night before flying off on holiday! Last year I had Persil at death's door ( really) all through Christmas and I have been thinking like you - please, nothing this year. Good vibes coming for you and yours!

well, basically - she's fine! no parasite, etc in her sample...vet wants me to use the same meds, just half as much
& also wanted me to stop wet food for a while...instead, i've stopped the fancy feast addition, which was new. maybe it's just too rich for her? anyway, there's nothing wrong, so the vet said probably just a digestive upset.
