My right knee has been killing me for close to 3 weeks now. I've been pampering it, keeping it up, using a brace, taking anti-inflamatories but it keeps getting worse. I went to the doctor today and he ordered x-rays and I have an appointment at an orthrapetic surgeon next week - they will either do an MRI or a scope or both.

Don't ask me what I did - my knees have been hurting me for close to 30 years and I have been doing a lot of stairs lately (they aggrevate it), and I was hiking in the foothills in Tucson over Thanksgiving. It's to the point that, if it isn't elevated, it feels like someone stabbed it with a knife. Sitting at the computer aggrevates it so I haven't been online much of late.

It's probably arthritis or a bone spur. Sometimes it just stinks getting old.......

I'd like a little cheese with my *whine* please!

Right there with you, sister. A few years back, at the age of 43, I decided I needed to lose weight... so I signed up for TAP DANCING LESSONS. Am I an optimist or what? :-) I made it through the full ten weeks, but it was months before I could climb stairs again.

I hope your problem turns out to be something easily and fully remedied... take care...

Amen to that!

Just realized tonight that the toughest part of all of this is that if it gets to surgery, even a scope, that I will have to kick the dogs off the sofa entirely and the cats can't climb into my lap. My smallest girl Scarlett walked up my leg last night, hit my knee and I doubled over.

Thanks for the thoughts! And glad to see that emb from Wisconsin caught the cheese joke!
