Lucy's been hospitalised at the vets, at least for tonight and tomorrow. The vet phoned me about 10 minutes ago. He's run bloods from her and he says her bloods are really quite good. He says there are some minor problems which he would expect with a cat who hasn't eaten or drank much in the last few days but thinks giving her intraveneous fluids will help a lot.
Unfortunately, they had to sedate Lucy as she decided to shred poor Nick and his nurses
. I did warn them she could be fiesty - there's life in the old girl yet
I did notice though, that her right eye has stopped watering now and is free of mucus today. Her other eye was watery too and still is but I'm hoping that whatever has made her ill is finally starting to go. Hopefully, getting intraveneous fluids will give her system the energy it needs to fight off this illness and hopefully we can get her on the road to recovery.
Please keep sending your healing thoughts and prayers for her. She's a very plucky, brave little cat who is much loved by us all.
