Hi all! Although I've gotten a lot of good information from this board, it's not very busy. Does anyone know of any other good cat talk forums? Thanks!

Welcome to TCS, Spencer
This is the best cat site I have seen on the web. The lounge is the busiest forum here, and we go there to post about a wide variety of subjects. The response time for all the cat related forums is much faster here than on some of the other cat sites. You may get some other responses about this.

I agree. I'm sorta confused as to how you think it's not very busy? Are you looking for more of a chat room? Usually if you post a question here, you'll get a response or two within hours. And if youre in the lounge, you're often getting responses within minutes.

Sorry Alicat. I didn't mean to be confusing. I just thought that the Health and Nutrition Forum would be busier. I'm always looking for any new information to help me better care for my two cats. You can learn alot from the experiences of others.

This is the largest and most helpful I have found over the past year. If you want a wide variety of topics, you can browse through the last 30 days by clicking the page #'s at the bottom. You can also select to browse through the past year or from the beginning. There is a large variety of topics and advice in both the health and nutrition and behavior sections.

Spencer, you don't need to apologize! I am just surprised you don't think this site is busy! Post any questions you have, and you'll get tons of answers, from people with both scientific knowledge and experience. If you don't have specific questions, browse as Sandie suggested, or you can search for topics on specific areas. Also, if you want just some general health suggestions, simply post that! Stick around, I'll bet you'll change your mind about this site!

I agree with the others - this site is one of the best that I've come across. It's reassuring to know that you're bound to get an answer at least by the next day (if not within hours).
If you don't have a specific question, I would do as Sandie suggests and look at older postings. I also do a search before I post a question to see if someone has had the same problem with their cat.
If you're looking for sites to browse topics, go to Google, Yahoo, etc, and type in "cat information"; you will should come up with some good links.

Spencer,

I noted that there's more activity early in the day (I'm in the Pacific Time Zone). But anytime I've posted a question, I've gotten at least 1 response that same day and several more the next.

Also, the people here are extremely knowledgeable. I suspect a few must be vets or work with vets. Overall, we are all cat lovers.

I recommend using the search feature if you want to get a feel for the quality (and quantity) of information supplied by the users of this site. It's not like a chat where people are online 24/7, this is an information exchange. It's the best I've come across so far.

Welcome, we hope you stay with us.

Thank you all for the great response. You've been very helpful. If you haven't guessed by now, I'm new to the computer so I obviously don't know a busy site when I see one! Oh well. Live and learn!

Hiya,

I have only posted a couple of times at most, but have always received a reply shortly after to whatever was concerning me! I reckon this is the best site I have come across regarding cats in every way.
I really don't think you will find better!

regards

Lisa
