That was changed a while back, Sam. The editing feature is removed after 24 hours. This was done because there were quite a few instances when the original poster didn't like the answers they were given so essentially deleted their first post by editing, thus making the whole thread useless as a future educational tool.

I have a question about that though. I made a post yesterday and then wanted to delete it five minutes after I wrote it and it wouldn't let me delete it. It was within the 24 hour time frame. Have our delete priveleges been removed?

For the first post, you cannot delete the post because it deletes the thread. Basically the same principal - there were issues with people who would come in, not like the answers, and delete their own thread. If you make an error in posting a thread, for instance a duplicate thread or something you think later contains too much personal information, contact a moderator and generally we'll take care of it for you.

Members have never been able to delete the first post of a thread.

Not looking to delete my last post, just want to  correct a word missing from the title.  It's only been about 15 minutes, and can't edit.

If I recall correctly, you have to post a certain number of times before you can edit. At the bottom of your post on the far left is a wee flag. If you could edit a wee pencil will also appear.
