It's Sunday morning and all my boys are lazing in bed - my hubby, then Pushy is sleeping upside down on hubby's legs, while Wiggies is curled up at his feet. The sun is shining, throwing its weak winter light on this scene of domestic bliss.

I'm waiting for them all to wake up and start demanding breakfast!

I've just arrived home from work, fed my precious babies and am about to engage in a fun playtime with Serenity who's all wound up, then a snuggle session with Sierra who just wants to love, following which I'll take a much desired shower! Our weather has warmed dramatically since last night. It's bright and sunny, 68 degrees! My kind of Winter weather!

It's snowing big flakes really slowly and it's quiet and beautiful. I love to go walking in the snow because even in a city with 6 million people who are always in a hurry, it's absolutely silent when it's snowing. I woke up an hour ago, fed the cats and now I'm just laying around. Gracie is curled up in front of the radiator in my bedroom and Leo is sitting on this windowsill trying to attack the snowflakes.

Stephanie, I honestly don't know how you live without snow. Decemeber and January are the months I live for!!
Of course, February and March are totally disgusting since Chicago becomes a ball of gray 30 degree, windy, slushy, dirt. But our two months of 'actual' winter are just gorgeous!

You're having such a lovely morning, Allie! We've been having at least one significant snow each winter for the past couple of years. Our weather has been so bizarre lately. Last night, I went into work extra bundled up and was still so cold! Today, I could be out in short sleeves if not for the high wind giving the air a bit of a chill. Just really odd!

That is quite strange!

Hmm that sounds typical of pretty much anywhere these days - the weather is just so unpredictable. What gets me is the extremes. We don't go gently from season to season, but rather one week it's in the 30s next week we're having snow flurries.

The peaceful scene didn't last long, as I suspected. Pushy and Wiggies started grooming each other, which never ends well. Sure enough, Wiggies suddenly lunged at Pushy's throat and tried to bite him (play bites). Now Pushy is following my hubby around wondering why he won't share any of that yummy looking Draino with him!

We had probably 6 inches of snow last night, and this morning it looks like a winter wonderland! So pretty! Perfect day to laze around and drink coffee!

I've had a wonderful morning. I slept in, received a morning wake up call, got kisses from Kenzie to get me up out of bed. When I went to sleep there were two deer right outside my front door eating berries from the pear tree and when I stumbled down the stairs this morning there was a hawk sitting on our deck railing. It's snowing, too !

IA. If you need me, just meow..
My husband is laying in bed watching a football game. I'm getting up the gumption to do my Xmas cards. We wrapped some presents last night until late so we decided that today we were going to be lazy. It snowed some last night but is melting today (thank goodness! snow is icky!). The cats are sleeping in their various perches and beds, except for Twig who is sitting on my lap now (all 22 lbs of him!)
I love days like this. No worries, no stress, no running, nothing. Just being lazy, lazy, lazy! it's these days I know what it is to be like a cat for a day!

Under the cats, mostly.
isn't it funny that such a perfect picture could be ruined by the breakfast thing...... Rune was flat out this morning with Tosca on his chest while I did the laundry and the dishes. And yes, I did make his breakfast too.....

Lazy day here too. I'm waiting for our daughter to get out of bed (she's working night shifts and it is 2:45 pm right now. She wants to go grocery shopping with me so I'm impatiently waiting until she gets up.

Hubby is having a nap in front of the TV, Mika is curled up on the kitchen stood and Bijou is sleeping on the top of the cat tree. It seems I'm the only one conscious at the moment and sometimes that's debatable.

I should probably eat something before I go for groceries or I'll buy all sorts of things I don't need just because I'm hungry.

Movin' on up!
I woke up much too early - 5:15. Rowdy had managed to shut herself in the bathroom and had unrolled almost an entire roll of toilet paper. She used it to make a nest and was curled up on the pile of t.p.

Since I couldn't get back to sleep, I switched on the coffee and took the paper and a cigarette out to the patio. The dogs wanted to "help" me read the paper.

The weather warmed up to the mid-70s today. I actually got a lot of things done. I went to Toys R Us and got streamers, license plates and horns for the twins' tricycles, checked out Corral West's sale (everything nice was in sizes 0-3
) and I finished wrapping all of the Christmas gifts.

Made a nice roast for dinner, shaved my legs and am now kicking back for the rest of the evening.
