We have a 3 wk old kitten. She had an eye infection where both eyes were closed shut - then the vet gave us drops for it and now its ok. However the dryness around the eye still remains and despite me using warm water to dampen it on a regular basis, it still is present. Are there any solutions on how this could be removed?

When you say dryness, do mean dried-up mucous? If so, she may need more treatment for the eyes if they're still mucousy or weeping.
