A lot of us have very interesting usernames that are very hard to figure out, and I'll bet a lot of other people on here besides me are curious to know what they mean, if anything. Mine isn't too interesting...

My first cat's name is Sweetie, my lucky number (along with about a billion other people
) is 3, and of couse I

Windy City Kitty :)
Lioness Rampant is the name of the last book in Tamora Pierce's Song of the Lioness series. I loved those books when I was a kid...in fact, they're STILL some of my favorites!

And because it sounds pretty cool.

That is so cool! It sounds nice, too. It's got a ring to it. I don't know any Japanese, but it is a beautiful language. Cat-eared--very fitting for a cat-lover!

I was so eager to get on the site that I didn't really put much thought into it -- I just came up with something I felt sure hadn't already been taken. Carol is my first name, and Petunia is one of the nicknames my father has for me. :-)

I took my first name and my last name and added them together as one word. My user name has nothing to do with being a computer "Hacker".

The cats house, we just pay the mortgage..
My little brother and sister went on holiday to Portugal and got a ride on a donkey called Pombina. They wouldn't stop going on about this donkey for a loooong time and I thought the name was great so it stuck with us for a while. Then when we went to Portugal with them for a holiday, we met Pombina, who's name is actually spelt Pombinha, but I think it looks better without the H.
She's so pretty,

and has such a cool name

By the way, my real name is Lauren

Thank you so much
It's my username on many other forums (that aren't cat related) as well.

I'm in the process of learning Japanese, and I agree that it is a beautiful language!

someplace so boring i am slowly but surely losing
well, as many of you are not aware, my name is not Joe. It is Wesley. I just never bother correcting people. Whenever i change my hair or clothes, my dad thinks i am trying to be cool so he calls me joe cool, apparantly an old expression for a cool person and according to xocats a specific Snoopy persona that parodied the beatniks.

long explanation

I thought of Snoopy right away when I saw your SN. My stepfather LOVES Snoopy, as in collects videos, books, figurines, etc. He has a Joe Cool figurine of Snoopy too that I got him. And, like your father, he always said 'What do you think you are!?! Joe Cool!?!' or 'Stop trying to be Joe Cool and _________!' to my stepbrothers when they were growing up and did something stupid or were trying to keep up with the latest odd trend.

My SN is from my 2 cats of course! I had just gotten them when I joined the boards or I would have probably chosen a SN using my RB kitty Glory's name (Morning Glory, Glory for short). But I guess it's good to move on and honor my new babies!

I found the site while looking for something to help me deal with the loss of Sunni last June. My screen name is just one small tribute to her.

My husband heard me on the phone one day giving this young lad of 21 yrs. a hard time for calling our 14 year old daughter and when I hung up I asked him if he heard the conversation. He said yes he had heard me doing my Yosemite impression - back off varmit! Since then my nickname at home has been Yosemite and they bought me car mats and a mug of Yosemite.

Mine is from being Pushkin's mum, I'm not really pushy (or a lady!) at all.
