Hi,

Did anyone else get their cat(s) a advent calender. I got both my cats advent calenders. One of them loves the little choclates and the other one isn't too keen on them.

Oh and Have you got your cat(s) christmas presents. I have only my youngest though. I brought her a little stocking thing with cat biscuits and toys inside
Hope she likes it. If not she likes the christmas tree anyway.

This was her last year in the xmas tree.
Sorry Its Big

You should not feed your cat chocolate, it can be poisonous.

I saw some ribbon in your tree, too. That can also be dangerous if eaten! Hmmm...I think I'll start a dangers to your cat, holiday addition thread....

Sorry if you thought that my house is a danger zone but......

It's not human chocolate, it's a special chocolate for a cat. Oh and the biscuits are cat biscuits. So there not posiness for them.

And, there was no ribbon in our tree we don't have ribbon in our house because of the dangers of the cat.

You could say never have a xmas tree and decs etc. because when you think about it, They are all dangerous for cats aren't they!!!!!

Lucinda, I know what you mean about the Cat Advent Calendar - Tibby and Willow love the Chocolatey Cat Nip mice, but Molly isn't so keen!! LOL

I don't think that the others were trying to attack you about the decorations, just mention the dangers for others too - as a reminder to us all!

Such a cute picture, Tibby and Molly love to climb my parents' tree over the Christmas period and I'm sure that Willow will thoroughly enjoy it too!!
Here's to stepping over scattered baubles!

Don't cry! I was just warning you about the chocolate. There are plenty of people that join this forum and don't know that chocolate can be toxic to cats.
Chocolate for cats? I have NEVER heard of that! Please tell more? Who makes it?

Danielle - obviously I live in a strange secluded part of the US, because I had never heard of cat Advent calendars either!

You can get several different types of advent calenders for you cats.
I got mine from cats protection and hears a couple of pics of them.

I would have got a pic of the chocolate mice inside but when i take them they keep on going blury.

You can also get some from the PSDA, if you look in most pet shops they sell them. Both my cats have them.
Heres a pic of my cat that hates the chocolate mice sniffing it.

You can sort of see the little chocolate mice in this. There on the right hand side. That was when i was trying to get pics of them.

If anyone else got advent calenders for their cats what does your look like??

They were only alarmed because they want all cats to be safe and healthy!! Hey, you came to a CAT site, what did ya expect? Please don't be offended or anything--they did not think you were a bad mommy to your cats, they just wanted to help. And anyways, it does sound like you are an awesome meowmy!

Hmm, I have never heard of these cat chocolates or cat advent calendars, either. Sounds pretty interesting! Maybe I will try to get a couple for my cats next year. I'm really starting to wonder if we cat owners are maybe a little bit crazy?...

OK, so who in the UK is going to get about 1000 of them to send to us cat lovers across the various ponds next year???
If I'd known that, I would have sent two for Trent and Ophelia. They're really big here (though Jamie doesn't like most of the treats in them).
