OKay... Garfield was fixed almost 2 weeks ago (this coming Monday will be 2 weeks) and he is not acting weird or anything but I just flipped him over and held him down so I could look at the area. I was never able to before because I was just not allowed.

Anyways, tonight I finally got to see it and it looks like it would be normal its not red or anything but it was open. Is this ok?

Im just not sure what its supposed to look like down there. And he is very furry so its hard to get a good look.

I am going to call the vet in the morning and talk to them but I was just wondering tonight.

I am not sure what you mean. But if Garfield is acting normal and is not constantly licking the area of surgery, it's safe to say he is okay.

I was told it heals after 10 days, so I would assume he's okay. Always a good idea to call the vet and check as you mentioned. I hope he's okay.

My understanding is that some vets use just one stitch for a boy's surgery, and sometimes not even that, which seems bizarre to me, but... how big an opening is there? Did the vet give you any antibiotic to put on it?
