A few years ago, my brothers, sisters-in-law and I decided we'd start exchanging gag gifts for Xmas. My brothers, who both have great senses of humor, are much better at finding these kinds of presents than I am. I'm looking for any and all suggestions for cute, funny (and cheap) gifts for them and their wives. For my youngest brother (who's almost a real doctor) and both sisters-in-law (who are nurses), I was thinking about something related to their jobs. I'm not sure about my other brother, who works as a real estate appraiser. Any ideas? Thanks!

that's a tough one without knowing them...... I would think for those in the medical field a toy stethoscope/medical bag would be good. Or how about the game "Operation". For the appraiser, maybe something to do with the game Monopoly?

Maybe a well designed "pretend" degrees for the almost MD, "Major Dud, or Dude", and for the RN's "Real Nerd, or Nut", or use your imagination for the words to fit the MD and RN, and buy a cheap frame to hang them...for the appraiser, buy a toy house, with a million $ price tag on it...I know it is stupid, but just some suggestions...

I'm no good at gag gifts either - my aunt is jsut amazing when it comes to silly stuff though! I'm assuming your bro will have his PhD once he's done eh? Good for him!

You know if it were me, I'd buy your brothers soem ladies underwear and vice-versa for their respective partners and see what happens.

some presents i have seen at gag gift parties:

a used urinal
used toothbrushes [a baggie full]
a hand-painted toilet seat [it wasn't pretty, either!]
holey underwear
plastic decorative frames, holding silk flowers [frames were attempting to look like wrought iron but not succeeding]

hope this helps!

I have a pattern to make reindeer out of Whoppers cartons and felt. You put the face on the front, the tail in the back, and cut a hole around the tail. The hole in the back becomes the dispenser for "Reindeer Droppings". There's a poem that goes on it, too, about a special treat of reindeer droppings. I can't remember exactly how it goes, but if you're interested I'll dig it and the pattern out.

I've given dog bones and little green soldiers before. I've seen a wall hanging made from lace and plastic spoons, a roll of toilet paper with a bell stuck in it, angles made from tampons, and probably a bunch of other stuff.

I'd go to the dollar store and start looking. I'm sure they have some first aid stuff if your looking for medical.

I think this is one of the funniest gag gifts I've seen in a while:
Tatoo Sleeves
