I know I have asked a lot of questions but I have another.
Phenom has been running from different room of the house to the living room couch where i sit. She "forgets" to jup to get on the couch and runs face first into it. The first time I laughed because it was funny. Now she is runing into other things to. Also when she is sitting and starting at me she will sometimes move her head at a bunch of different angle as if i am spinning.
Is something wrong with my kitty or is she just being kitten??

She is just being a kitten. Mercedes runs into the kitchen wall a lot. But if she is running into table legs and small narrow objects she could be having vision problems.

Does she follow a feather toy ok? Maybe there are some perception issues. If she ever gets a little wobbly then it could be an ear infection, but it sounds more vision related than equilibrium related.

If it is a vision problem then it will just take time for her to adjust to it and of course you don't want to move the major furniture around much in that case as she will learn to compensate after a while.

it doesnt seem to bother her playtime but she does seem to play with things that just arent there. like imaginary spots on the carpet.

sounds perfectly normal to me.

Until this day and mind you Loki is now 5 1/2 I still hear this big thud - that means Loki slid head first into the sliding glass doors ... and yes he is fine *LOL*

My kitties do this too.

I think the strangest thign I've seen was when my kitten thought she coudl jump to the top of the bird feeder from a chair
. The bird feeder was suctioned to our sliding door. She looked like one of those cartoons where they go splat against the glass and slide down. The previous week Autumn had done the same thing when a bird landed at teh feeder. We don't get birds anymore
.

My kitten does the same thing. She's a complete klutz! I can't even count how many times she's gone sprinting and ran into the side of a futon or even the frame of a door! She usually just shakes her head and acts really embarassed (it amazes me that cats express this emotion!), and then she's back at it again!

And, yes, her vision is just fine. She has perfect aim when we play with her fishing toys!

Would it be very inconvenient (expensive) to have her eyes checked?

oh how i miss the familiar *THUD* as a kitten crashes into something head first...

whoever said cats always land on their feet obviously didnt apply that logic to kittens.
