I took my baby in this morning to be spayed. They said I should fetch her at 4pm. Since this is my first kitty and she has been spayed, what should I do when I get her home? I'd like to make up a comfy bed for her in the lounge, and keep her food, water and litter box close by so that she doesn't have to struggle too much. I also plan to spend the wknd staying with her just to keep a close eye on her and make sure the wound doesn't open up. Do u guys have any advice on exactly what I need to do as I get her home. I plan on giving her lots of TLC and making things as comfortable as poss - but if there's anything else I should do please can some one tell me?

Our bedroom is upstairs, is it OK for me to move her bed upstairs when we go to sleep - just in case she needs me during the night or starts crying - or is it not advisable? I know I sound paranoid, but i just wanna keep my sweet baby happy...

Chloe was spayed yesterday, today you wouldn't think she had anything done.

Don't worry you will be surprised at how quickly she will recover! Mica was running and jumping like crazy the next morning. If she gets a bump on the site of the scar show it to your vet, but don't worry as this can happen from being active soon after. Just watch it doesn't get any bigger and the lump should go down in the next ten days.

Hope was running around as soon as she got home. I kept trying to get her to calm down but all she wanted to do was play with Meeka. I finally got really worried and picked her up. The poor thing was shaking but despite that still wanted to play and wanted nothing to do with being rested.

Don't worry she'll recover quickly
. If you have stairs you might want to help her avoid having to go up and down them too. Most likely she won't care.

Cable was pretty sleepy when i took her home, but Java wasn't. they told me to keep Cable in a dark quiet place, but she kept crying, so i let her out. she then went to sleep on me so soundly that she peed on me in her sleep!
both of them acted like nothing had happened the next morning. Java got one of the lumps, but the vet said it wasn't a problem unless it didn't go down - which it did. she'll most likely surprise you with her activity level!
